Who we are
Anjung Interior Design Penang ("we", "us") is an interior design studio at 38 Lebuh Armenian, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. We operate the website at www.interiordesignerpenang.com.my. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to meet the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to answer your enquiry and run a project properly.
Information you give us. When you complete the appointment form we collect your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, the property details you enter, your answers about scope, budget and timing, anything you write in the message field, and any files you upload.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server log data — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps — for security and reliability. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking on this website.
Information from third parties. If you contact us through a social platform or a directory listing, we receive whatever that platform passes on, according to their own policies.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your enquiry to add you to a marketing list.
Files you upload
Floor plans, photographs and inspiration images sent through the appointment form are used only to assess your enquiry and prepare an estimate. They are stored in our project system, shared internally with the designer handling your enquiry, and deleted on request. Please do not upload documents containing identity card numbers, bank details or other sensitive information — we do not need them.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where it is necessary, and only to the extent needed:
- Service providers who host the website and deliver our email. They process data on our instructions and may store it outside Malaysia.
- Consultants and contractors on your project, where sharing is required to carry out the work — for example passing dimensions to a carpenter. We share the minimum necessary.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where we are required by law to do so.
We do not permit any of these parties to use your data for their own marketing.
International transfer
Some providers store data on servers outside Malaysia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that the data receives comparable protection to that required under the PDPA.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for 24 months, then deleted. Project records — contracts, drawings, correspondence and invoices — are kept for seven years after completion, which reflects statutory record-keeping and limitation periods. Server logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you may:
- Ask what we hold about you and request a copy.
- Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw consent to further contact at any time.
- Limit processing for direct marketing purposes.
- Ask us to delete data we no longer need.
Write to studio@interiordesignerpenang.com.my. We respond within 21 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before we release information. A reasonable fee may apply to a formal data access request, as permitted by the PDPA.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookie present is strictly necessary for the site to function or is set by your browser. If we introduce analytics in future we will update this page and, where required, request consent before setting anything non-essential.
Children
This website is intended for adults arranging design services. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to enquiries is limited to studio members who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so if you would rather not send something through the form, bring it to the meeting instead.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change. The date below shows the current version. Material changes affecting active clients are communicated directly.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, contact us first at studio@interiordesignerpenang.com.my so we can put it right. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia.
