The constraint
One partner sleeps while the other works from home. The developer layout put the study directly against the bedroom wall with a hollow partition between them.
What we did
We rebuilt the partition as a double-stud wall with a full-height storage core inside it, so the acoustic separation is also the wardrobe. A pocket door replaces the swing door, recovering the 0.9m arc it was wasting.
The result
A 32dB reduction between study and bedroom, and enough storage that the apartment still looks empty two years later.
